At the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by russia, the NGO “Actual Woman" changed its aim of activity, responding to the urgent needs of women among IDPs and those who remained in active combat zones. Our priority became to provide humanitarian support and respond quickly to the urgent requests of women affected by the war. Thanks to donors and private donations, we assist women and women with children who previously lived in the Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Kherson regions, but as a result of the occupation, rocket and artillery shelling, were forced to move to the Kharkiv region.
In addition to humanitarian aid, we also implement a psychological support program for women by conducting individual and group consultations and art therapy master classes. Such meetings help to work through fears and internal conflicts that need attention due to the military invasion, to overcome internal crises, to find internal strength, and to move on.
We are gradually returning to the key mission of the NGO “Actual Woman”, which is expanding women’s opportunities in the fields of economy, education, and art. Thanks to our partners, we support women in their professional growth by taking retraining and advanced training courses, as well as learning foreign languages.
In addition, we guide information campaigns for women on starting businesses and social projects in war conditions. Another line of our work is supporting companies owned and managed by women in entering foreign markets. For example, last year we made a program about the export and development of international cooperation during the full-scale war.
